چکیده

We give an interpretation to the issue of the chiral determinant in the heatkernel approach. The extra dimension (5-th dimension) is interpreted as (inverse) temperature. The 1+4 dim Dirac equation is naturally derived by the Wick rotation for the temperature. In order to define a “good” temperature, we choose those solutions of the Dirac equation which propagate in a fixed direction in the extra coordinate. This choice fixes the regularization of the fermion determinant. The 1+4 dimensional Dirac mass (M) is naturally introduced and the relation: |4 dim electron momentum| ≪ |M | ≪ ultraviolet cut-off, naturally appears. The chiral anomaly is explicitly derived for the 2 dim Abelian model. Different regularizations appear depending on the choice of propagators. 1 On leave of absence from Department of Physics, University of Shizuoka, Yada 52-1, Shizuoka 422-8526, Japan (Address after Nov.6, 1998). Variational Calculations for the Relativistic Interacting Fermion System at Finite Temperature: Application to Liquid 3He

In this paper, at first we have formulated the lowest order constrained variational method for the relativistic case of an interacting fermion system at finite temperature. Then we have used this formalism to calculate some thermodynamic properties of liquid in the relativistic regime. The results show that the difference between total energies of relativistic and non-relativistic cases of liqu...

Fermion determinant and chiral anomaly on a finite lattice

The fermion determinant and the chiral anomaly of lattice Dirac operator D on a finite lattice are investigated. The condition for D to reproduce correct chiral anomaly at each site of a finite lattice for smooth background gauge fields is that D possesses exact zero modes satisfying the Atiyah-Singer index theorem. This is also the necessary condition forD to have correct fermion determinant (...

First the structure function of the many fermion systems is written in terms of the fluctuation of the target density and too the value of this function at very small momentum transfer is calculated. It is shown that the values of the structure function of these systems at very small momentum transfer calculated from two different ways which one is the mathematical straight way and other way is...
